13.10.2016: Hurricane Matthew / Haiti
Waterlogged fields, houses razed to the ground, bridges destroyed - 2.1 million people were affected by Hurricane Matthew when it hit Haiti - approximately 1.4 million people are in desperate need of help. The government of Haiti describes it as the worst disaster since the earthquake of 2010.

19.04.2016: Earthquake in Ecuador
Following a severe earthquake in Ecuador the aid organisation ISAR Germany - International Search and Rescue has, together with its partner BRH Bundesverband Rettungshunde e.V., dispatched an assessment team to the disaster area.

The BRH Bundesverband Rettungshunde e.V. (German Search and Rescue Dog Association) has been the umbrella organisation for (currently 81) rescue dog teams in Germany since 1976. They are organised regionally as independently registered associations and function on a volunteer, non-profit basis. In some federal states, our teams are specialised services in the respective state’s disaster control. Continued interest is being shown by other teams from home and abroad who want to join the association.
